Finding and Replacing Text

SmartTutor 360 lets you find all instances of a word or phrase quickly, anywhere in your project. You can even replace specific text with another word or phrase with the click of a button.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, choose Replace.
  2. In the Find what box, enter the text you want to find and replace.
  3. In the Replace with box, enter the text you want to use as the replacement.
  4. To search for the next occurrence of the text, choose Find Next.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To replace the currently selected occurrence of the text, choose Replace.
    • To replace all occurrences of the text, choose Replace All.
Tips:

To find text that has the exact combination of uppercase and lowercase characters you entered, mark the Match case box. Otherwise, Storyline will find all occurrences of the text, regardless of case.

To find only complete words, mark the box to Find whole words only. For example, a search for “art” will find only occurrences of the word “art” and not other words that contain the same characters, such as “elearning” or “screencast.” (This option won’t be available if you entered more than one word in the Find what field.)
